I was in the mood to see something funny tonight at the movies during my date night with Randy and Knocked Up http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20040665,00.html was a perfect choice! Katherine Heigl (Izzy on Greys Anatomy) was great as a pregnant woman. Of course she looked stunningly gorgeous with a big belly (it's the movies!). She wore the most stylish maternity clothing, it almost made me want to be pregnant again so I could go shopping (ok, not really).
I won't spoil the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but if you're a mom and remember being pregnant this movie will be sure to give you a chuckle or two. I could relate to many of the things Allison was going through in her pregnancy. The scenes where her hormones take over are totally hilarious. They mention a "birth plan" ...how many women have actually seen their birth plan get used? How about having a different doctor deliver your child because he/she was on vacation or not available...... And the dilema of telling your boss that your pregnant - when is the right time?
If you liked Forty Year Old Virgin, you'll like Knocked Up too (both by writer-director Judd Apatow). Seth Rogan is also pretty funny. So get a baby sitter, grab your hubby and watch the big screen!
